Experts: AI governance and mental health

Six months before the killings in Tumbler Ridge, Open AI suspended a ChatGPT account owned by the shooter. However, it failed to alert Canadian authorities of its contents. In the wake of Bill C-27鈥檚 death on the order paper in January 2025, there remains no binding federal regulation of artificial intelligence in Canada. These 秀色直播 experts can comment:

Vincent Paquin, Research Fellow and incoming Assistant Professor, Department of Psychiatry, can talk about why young people turn to AI for support with mental health problems; how AI can influence mental health problems; and what can be done about it in terms of policy.
