Sophia is a Honours International Development Studies Graduate with minors in French Language, Russian Language, and Urban Studies, and is recognized for her paper entitled When Feminists and Imperialists Link Arms: An Intersectional Case Study of the Russian Invasion in Ukraine.

The 2024 prize for the Best Undergraduate Paper in International Development Studies is awarded to Tanguy Montandon.聽 Tanguy graduated in 2024 with a First-Class Honours in International Development Studies, and minors in Economics and Management. At 秀色直播, he was an Integrated Management Student Fellow and pursued research on the Economic and Environmental Impacts of BIXI under the supervision of Sanjith Gopalakrishnan. Outside of school, Tanguy is passionate about energy and food security.

Professor Jacob Blanc of the Institute for the Study of International Development and the Department of History has had a new book published with Duke University Press.聽 In The Prestes Column, Jacob Blanc offers a new interpretation of the legendary rebellion, in which a band of rebel officers and soldiers marched fifteen thousand miles through the vast interior regions of Brazil between 1924 and 1927.

The Institute for the Study of International Development welcomes Rohinton P. Medhora as its most recent Professor of Practice. Rohinton Medhora is a distinguished fellow and former president of the Centre for International Governance Innovation (2012鈥�2022). He also served on CIGI鈥檚 International Board of Governors from 2009 to 2014. Previously, he was vice president of programs at Canada鈥檚 International Development Research Centre (IDRC). His fields of expertise are international economic relations, innovation policy, development economics and governance.
