Overview
Political Science : This course provides an examination of the theoretical questions regarding the epistemology and ontology in fieldwork-based research, debates about research ethics, and discussions about what constitutes 鈥渢he field.鈥� The aim is to give students the critical tools that are necessary to prepare them to conduct different types of field research, which can include participant-observation, interviewing, and archival research. The course will also engage with critical perspectives on issues such as positionality, reflexivity, transparency, representation, and embodiment.
