Because biol ogical systems have faced a range of challenges throughout evolutionary hi story that has led to a diversity of robust solutions\, they are ideal for the study of complex systems\, and solutions inferred from biology have s uccessfully been applied to system design and management in other fields. It is therefore imperative not only to study individual biological systems \, but also to compare broadly their organizing principles and emergent pr operties. My lab uses theoretical and empirical approaches to study the or ganization and emergent properties and behaviors of biological systems acr oss spatiotemporal scales\, from single cells to entire ecosystems. In thi s talk\, I will attempt to give an overview of the questions we are asking \, the approaches we are taking towards answering them\, and the most rece nt insights.\n DTSTART:20210126T170000Z DTEND:20210126T180000Z LOCATION:CA\, QC SUMMARY:QLS Seminar Series - Corina Tarnita URL:/qls/channels/event/qls-seminar-series-corina-tarn ita-327794 END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
