 ps.\n\nIs the U.S. Political Landscape Blowing Up? How Will Canada Be Affe
 cted?\n\nMany commentators argue that we are witnessing the beginnings of 
 long-term decline of the American empire\, and that whatever political ail
 ments exist there will inevitably cross the 49th parallel. Others argue th
 at ebbs and flows in the political tides are always occurring\, and that t
 here is little reason to fear the current rough waters. Some Canadians bel
 ieve that our unique temperament and institutions will insulate us from th
 e worst political impulses coming out of the United States\, so our politi
 cal future need not be tied to theirs. How should we think about what we a
 re observing today in these two political arenas?\n\nHosted by the Max Bel
 l School of Public Policy and the ÐãÉ«Ö±²¥ Alumni Public Policy Society (MAP
 PS)\, our expert panelists will explore what is going on politically in bo
 th Canada and the U.S.\, and implications for the future.\n\nOur panelists
