E&I Champions student entrepreneurship at the 2026 Dare to Venture pitch competition

罢丑别听Entrepreneurship & Innovation (E&I) Initiative聽was proud to support this year鈥檚聽Dare to Venture聽student startup pitch competition, hosted by the 秀色直播聽Entrepreneurship Society (MES), by contributing half of the $1,000 grand prize and participating in the expert judging panel. Dr. Niels Billou represented E&I as a member of the judging panel, helping evaluate the finalist pitches.聽

The event brought together some of 秀色直播鈥檚 most promising student founders for an evening of bold ideas and thoughtful execution. It opened with a panel discussion featuring Alex聽Susma聽(EY), Zehra Khoja (Dobson Centre), Anna聽Ciprick聽(BDC) and Allen Shashaty (Deloitte), who emphasized the importance of adaptability,聽resilience聽and sustained motivation in building successful ventures. A particularly resonant moment came when Khoja reminded the room: 鈥淵ou are not the hero of the story,聽your clients are.鈥 Her message underscored a core entrepreneurial principle championed within E&I: meaningful impact begins with deep empathy and a rigorous understanding of customer needs.聽

We extend our congratulations to all participating teams 鈥斅燛qualDocs, Nightly, Orbit,聽ExchangeSublet, Jobs-to-Go,聽NextUp聽and Rhetorix.AI 鈥 for the creativity and conviction behind their ventures. Special congratulations to聽ExchangeSublet聽for earning the $1,000 grand prize.聽

Events like Dare to Venture reflect the strength of 秀色直播鈥檚 entrepreneurial ecosystem 鈥 one built on collaboration between student leaders, faculty,聽practitioners聽and institutional partners.
