Budget carry forward balances for all applicable funds have been posted to May of Fiscal Year 26 (2025/26). This budget appears in account code 700421, 700422 or 700428 (depending on the Fund Type), and carries a document number starting with ‘CF’.

Please note that due to the extended University year end period, the month of April will not be closing according to the usual month end schedule. April 2025 is scheduled to be closed on June 2^nd. This means that financial statements for April are still not available. An email notification will be sent when the financial statements are ready to be picked up in Minerva.

The Procedures for Travel and Other Expenses have been updated:

P4 has been modified to indicate that when an amount is to be returned to the University, the method of payment is via Interac e-Transfer. Payments via personal cheques will no longer be accepted.

May 1, 2025 is the first day of Fiscal Year 26 (May 1, 2025 to April 30, 2026). For your reference, attached are the FY26 Month End Deadlines for submitting financial transactions in Banner (including Finance Accounts Receivable and Feed File submissions).

These deadlines are posted on the Financial Services website.

Dear Colleagues,

The overhead recovery fee currently being charged on actual revenues earned in non-1A unrestricted funds will remain at 7.5% in FY2026. This is unchanged from FY2025. The process for collecting and recording of this fee will continue to occur on a quarterly basis.
